The Booty & The Beat på Ideal Bar, Köpenhamn ikväll!

The Booty & The Beat er navnet på Kontorets nye klub i klubben, der har præmiere den 26. februar.

The Booty and the Beat er klubben som med udgangspunkt i funky, uptempo oldschool udforsker nye bouncy hiphop-hybrider. Her blandes San Francisco Bay Areas hyphy og Grime fra million-projecterne i Østlondon med hiphop classics. Gamle oldschool-hits spices op ved hjælp af Baltimore-remixes. Det er stripclub møder backpack. Nyt møder gammelt. Hipster-rap blandes med Boombap.

Bag klubben står den kvindelige svenske dj/promoter San-One, der netop har spillet til Midweek Brakes og som står bag den faste klubaften Kartellen i Inkonst i Malmö.

Music Doc 2009

MUSIC DOC är festivalen för dig som gillar film, musik
och samtidigt bryr
dig om historierna och människorna bakom musiken.
På den kommande
festivalen bjuder vi på musikfilmer varav
de flesta aldrig tidigare visats
i Malmö. Det blir också klassisk picknickbio, seminarier,
fester, workshops och
personliga möten med regissörer och filmarbetare, dj:s,
vj:s, och mingel
precis så ofta och mycket som man orkar
Ni hittar oss på Spegeln och Victoriateatern i Malmö
mellan 26e feb och 1 mars. Under festivaldagarna gästar
vi även Kino, med ett antal visningar i
samarbete med Folkets Bio, Lund. I  år gör vi ett gästspel
på tempofestivalen i Stockholm 4-8 mars och en nystartad
upplaga av MD i Göteborg 2-5 april.

Swedish hiphop

When you look for pictures to represent Sweden, you find shit like the one above. The long awaited swedish hiphop wrap up in Notion Blend is going down this thursday at 20:00 - 21:00 and will feature no nazis, national anthems or racist cops, only pure, bumping swedish hiphop.

The following thursdays will have a Danish, Norwegian and Finnish program will follow, and we might even squeeze in Island as well. So if you know any good artists that you think should be represented, write a comment or a mail.
